What is Donald Trump’s net worth?

CelebrityNetWorth estimates his fortune at $7.6 billion in November 2026. The total mixes private buildings that are hard to price with a public stock position that can be marked to market any day of the week.

That split explains why his published wealth has swung so widely over the years. CelebrityNetWorth began tracking him in 2009 at $1.5 billion, while Forbes peaked at $4.5 billion in 2017 and put him at $3 billion in 2019.

Sources of wealth

The largest single asset is his stake in Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent of Truth Social. The company went public through a merger with Digital World Acquisition Corp in March 2024, and he holds roughly 114 million shares after receiving a 36 million share earnout bonus that April.

Property and hospitality supply the rest: Trump Tower, valued at about $555 million with full ownership; 40 Wall Street at $500 million; Mar-a-Lago at $160 million; Doral at $250 million; and a 30 percent interest in San Francisco’s 555 California Street.

How the fortune was built

Fred Trump’s Elizabeth Trump & Son built and rented homes in Queens and Brooklyn and grew to more than 27,000 units. Donald joined after Wharton, then moved into Manhattan, renovating the Commodore Hotel into the Grand Hyatt and selling his half in 1996 for $142 million.

Construction on Trump Tower began in 1982, then came Atlantic City casinos that went through bankruptcies between 1991 and 2009. The Apprentice, which debuted in 2004, paid him $197.3 million between 2000 and 2018 and led to about $230 million more in licensing and endorsements.

How we estimate it

We publish the CelebrityNetWorth figure of $7.6 billion dated 3 November 2026. The property values behind it were assessed in 2021, so they are stale, and several buildings carry mortgages that are subtracted from gross value.

Brand value is the other variable. Trump once valued his name at $3.3 billion, while analysts put it nearer $50 million to $100 million, which alone moves the total by billions depending on who is counting.
